Whilst on Facebook Chat last night - Okay before I continue…I admit I was on there for too long, my friend sent me a link to Beyoncé’s incredible performance at The BillBoard Awards 2011 featuring her highly regarded “Run the World” song on YouTube. After watching it I asked him how much influence does YouTube have on his life and he replied it was the “source of all media content” and that’s it’s his second most visited website, with the first being none other than Facebook. I therefore asked another one of my friends who barely uses Facebook her views on social networking and she replied saying “it’s just another tool of taking over the world” and so an interesting conversation followed where we both raised interesting theories. Ironically, it made me think Beyoncé’s “Run the World” song even more because if you changed some of the lyrics we could have a song about how social networking “Run the world”.
